The real estate sales process is a complicated one, especially when dealing with a trust, which is what our childhood home sale involved. Pat walked us through step by step. She was always accessible and super sensitive to the emotional toll preparing a home, which our parents built 44 years ago, for sale takes on adult children who have recently lost their remaining parent and have to deal with the loss of the family home as well. We grew very close to Pat over the last 9 months. She was always readily available; returning calls and emails nearly instantly. On top of that, she went above and beyond tending to the house when none of the four of us could because we all live elsewhere. She brought in empty trash barrels, she watered shrubs that were wilting, she drove to 60 miles to another property with my sister to value it for a tax document, just to mention a few.
I will always remember Pat Dewolfe when I look back at this experience. She was a bright spot in what was a difficult time emotionally for my sisters and me.
