Julio Torres Santana
Julio developed an interest for the functionality of living spaces early on in life, which led him to pursue a career in Architecture from Harvard University, before becoming a real estate consultant.
Born in the Dominican Republic, Julio arrived in New York in 2002 to complete his high school education and continue to college. In 2010, he graduated with a professional undergraduate degree in Architecture from Cornell University’s Architecture Art and Planning program. Additionally, Julio has been honored by the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence, Boston Society of Architects AIA Future of Design, the National Organization of Minority Architects, AOL’s 25x25 Artist Program, ASLA Honors Award for Residential Design and has worked as an academic tutor, research assistant, and design instructor. Julio began his professional career at Kohn Pedersen Fox and later accepted an offer to design the Latin Baseball Hall of Fame Museum and designed several homes in the Dominican Republic. Later, and before starting at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, he served as a project coordinator with Facilities and Planning at SUNY Cortland.
